Description
If you’re teaching a new shooter to run a Hellcat, or you just want a more positive slide lock for your own EDC, the extended slide lock lever for Hellcat from Apex is a simple, reliable upgrade. It replaces the factory lever with a longer, serrated face that gives your thumb more purchase. This makes locking the slide open during field stripping or malfunction clearing easier and more intuitive. It’s a direct drop-in part, machined from heat-treated steel, and available in either Black Oxide or Matte Finish Hard Chrome. Per manufacturer specs, it is designed specifically for Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat Pro models.

FAQ
How to change quad lock lever on a Hellcat?
Changing the slide lock lever (sometimes called a quad lock lever) on a Hellcat is straightforward. First, ensure the pistol is unloaded and the magazine is removed. Use a punch or small screwdriver to depress the spring-loaded plunger on the right side of the frame. While holding it down, slide the old lever out from the left side. Insert the new Apex lever from the left, aligning the pin with the plunger hole. Release the plunger and verify the lever moves freely. Test function by locking the slide open manually.
Will this lever fit my Hellcat Pro?
Yes, per Apex Tactical, this lever is designed to fit both the standard Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro models. It is a direct drop-in replacement for both.
Does the extended lever cause holster issues?
It can. The extended face adds about 0.15 inches of width. Many holsters with an open-top design or a cutout for the slide lock will work fine, but some tight-fitting Kydex holsters may need modification. Always check with your holster manufacturer for clearance before ordering.
Is this lever ambidextrous?
No, the Apex Extended Slide Lock Lever is designed for right-handed shooters (left side of the frame). It does not add an ambidextrous release.
